THE ECO4 SCHEME
Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) is a Government energy efficiency scheme that aims to reduce carbon emissions and make energy affordable for all.
The ECO4 scheme focuses on supporting low income and vulnerable households. The scheme will improve the least energy efficient homes helping to meet the Government's fuel poverty and net zero commitments.
It is a Government scheme led by the private sector - not the council. Under the scheme, qualifying homeowners and private tenants may be entitled to energy efficiency improvements to their homes for free.

TO APPLY FOR THE ECO4 GRANT YOU NEED TO BE A CLAIMANT OF ONE OF THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS:
- Income based Jobseekers Allowance
- Income related Employment & Support Allowance
- Income Support
- Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Child Tax Credits
- Universal Credit
- Housing Benefit
- Pension Credit (Guaranteed)
- Pension Credit (Savings)
- Child Benefit (View Child Benefit Thresholds)
YOUR HOME MUST ALSO FALL INTO THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:
- You must be a homeowner or a private rented tenant
- Your home must have an EPC rating of E, F or G. If you don't know your EPC rating please click here
